Storm starts scary stirring

Fear-frothed waves rise flailing

Curl, crash o’er, repeating

Taut terror’s churl swirling

Anxieties e’er pulling

Toward nameless jaws’ gnawing…

Dim faith gasps, grasping

Unseen hand; shadows separating

At Hallowed Heart’s heaving…

Soul soothed, sustained, surfacing

Savior’s arms ne’er forsaking

  1. This is a poem I understand having lived in that anxiety ridden state for so long. Expressed in such a heartfelt manner and I love the scriptures you choose to go with your poem. Beautiful message about the power the Lord has to restore and preserve us always. Hope you have a truly blessed Sabbath. Love 💕 Joni

    • Happy Lord’s Day, Sister!! Thank you so much for reading and commenting. Anxiety can certainly run away with us–I frequently need to refocus on JESUS, which is the best response. When we depend on, and rest In Him, the mountains reduce to molehills! Much love to you❣💕🌹💖
