Crows (Gogyohka)

I’m not sure I got this form right…someone will probably tell me😉

I love my crows

They’ve made quizzical expression an art form

Seeing them, my lips smile

There are stories in their onyx heads

Someday I’ll write a tale with wings

  1. In my humble opinion I think you aced this, this form like all Japanese poetry forms is based on brevity and clarity, but the gogyohka has one distinct flavour, each verse must be the length of a breath. you had one subject and drew well on it. well done I would say!
