Slow Learner’s Story & Sunday Song

I’m starting with a song that’s So Good…I’m soaking in it.  I hope it will bless you too…and then there’s my poem 🙂

Slow to catch wisdom

Received more years than wished for

Learning how life works

My sins ever known by me

Pride can never boast nor judge

Another’s path, grace deserved

Blind, this stony heart

Lacked vision; deaf, would not hear

Living Words offered

Paid high cost of rebellion

Still recall exact moment

Day I chose to disobey

Were it not for Cross

Crimson rope, Mercy’s rescue

Pulling me to shore

Eternity waited empty

Bleak reward, apart from God

Grateful to 2nd-chance Lord

“Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love,
which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord.

The Lord is good and does what is right;
he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
He leads the humble in doing right,
    teaching them his way.”

Psalm 25:7-9, New Living Translation
