Glad Game ~ Week 2

Hi Everyone!  It’s time for more gratitudes, or as I call it, playing “Pollyanna’s Glad Game”.  So here we go:

a) Glad and grateful for the sunny days of Spring’s arrival…the sky’s hue sparkles gem-like!  I don’t mind that it’s still chilly, the sunshine has lifted winter’s heaviness from my spirit ~

b) Thankful I haven’t caught the contagious and widespread panic which others are suffering.  I continue praying ~

c) Grateful and very pleased at the responsive posts I’ve seen from many bloggers who are celebrating and encouraging online/virtual “community”, and offering words of calming optimism, hope & humor, and faith during this distressing time ~

d) Thankful to talk with my out-of-state cousin, and learn that no one in her circle of family and friends have become ill ~

e) Grateful the cherry blossoms, though weary-looking, are maintaining their “never say die” posture…I can hardly surrender to ‘the blues’ as long as they remain defiantly petal-pink😉

f) Thankful, always, for my wind chimes—year-round, they faithfully play as though angels hover outside my window ~

g) I’m grateful the troublesome neighbor has been ushered out; hoping someone respectful will move in ~

h) Thus far the ants have not returned, so I’m ecstatically thankful…and wondering if the virus might wipe out the “clan” which finds my place so hospitable.  I’ve left the Maxforce box prominently displayed above the crack in the molding, as Warning😉

i) I’m grateful to have had a pleasant exchange with my apartment manager this week…it’s a testimony to God’s grace, as Management’s presence can push all my buttons at once and set off the smoke alarm😉

j) I realize most folks view social distancing’s necessity as a negative, even if it turns out to be a brief interruption in their accustomed lifestyle’s whirl…but it kind of helps the isolated, reclusive among us feel less “strange”.  I’m thankful to be considered “wise and sensible” for awhile 😉

As ever, I’m most grateful to the Lord God whose Spirit speaks, “peace, be still, I will not leave nor forsake you; beloved child, you are in the palm of My hand”

May He make His loving Presence undeniable to you, pouring overflow of blessings on your lives. Rhen

  1. Great post! It is so important to remember what we have to be grateful for – it helps to take the focus off what is happening. This morning I am realizing how grateful I am for the internet to be working – as it took several hours to get it back up and running. It is our connection now to most everything and everyone.
