Daily Light ~ Psalm 91

Note to Readers:  I sincerely hope I’ve not infringed on copyright by posting Psalm 91 in its entirety, with the copyright information at the bottom.  However, I did not personally contact Tyndale House Publishers, Inc for permission.  This is the link I found—but I don’t know if the 25% rule excludes a complete psalm... https://www.studylight.org/site-info/copyright/bible/en_nlt.html

If anyone is more knowledgeable than I regarding this matter, I would greatly appreciate assistance, as I do not wish my good intentions to instead do a disservice.  Thank you, Rhen.

Psalm 91

1Those who live in the shelter of the Most High

will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2This I declare about the LORD:

He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;

he is my God, and I trust him.

3For he will rescue you from every trap

and protect you from deadly disease.

4He will cover you with his feathers.

He will shelter you with his wings.

His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

5Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,

nor the arrow that flies in the day.

6Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,

nor the disaster that strikes at midday.

7Though a thousand fall at your side,

though ten thousand are dying around you,

these evils will not touch you.

8Just open your eyes,

and see how the wicked are punished.

9If you make the LORD your refuge,

if you make the Most High your shelter,

10no evil will conquer you;

no plague will come near your home.

11For he will order his angels

to protect you wherever you go.

12They will hold you up with their hands

so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.

13You will trample upon lions and cobras;

you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.

I will protect those who trust in my name.

15When they call on me, I will answer;

I will be with them in trouble.

I will rescue and honor them.

16I will reward them with a long life

and give them my salvation.”

  1. thank you for your daily encouragement Rhen. I am trying to catch up and read but time is limited after work, sorry if I have missed some of your posts, I do appreciate all you do.

    • Dear Gina–never worry about “missing” my posts, truly!! I hope I DO encourage, and I’m most grateful for your appreciation–and we ALL have time and energy constraints. As I’ve gotten older I find I can’t follow and read as many blogs as I did when I began blogging 9 years ago…so I just do the best I can. I confess that some days I have to skip longer posts…as I run out of “fuel” to concentrate, and write pertinent comments. We all have limits, we’re human 🙂 Blessings to you, dear heart ❤

  2. Oh sweet Rhen you have not broken any copyright laws. You are sharing one of the most beautiful and promising Psalms that King David wrote. It is the most reassuring and calming Psalms written. I have been having my husband read it before bed for many nights now. You have a kind sweet heart Rhen. I love you my sister. You are in my prayers. Love 💕 you
