The Mighty Will Fall

Life-size dominoes

It’s how the mighty will fall

Their crowns clattering

Paste jewels shattering on stone

Arrogant souls crushed, mere dust

Impoverished pride

Pooling ’round them, rivulets

Of lofty ruin
