Stout Stands Out

My much-loved grandmother was stout

Good appetite filled her short frame out

She had nothing energetic to do

Reading, needlework, soap operas she’d view ~

Sedentary diet’s cue: she’ll spot me in Heav’n, no doubt!

        1. I didn’t write it very well, should have used a word other than “spy”, so may edit it. Amid the crowd in Heaven I’ll be glad if my grandma can easily recognize me–by our matching stout figures 🙂

    1. You’re so right–much nicer than saying “Fat”! I recall seeing my grandma’s corset hanging on the back of a chair while she was in the bath…my sister and I were wide-eyed, having never seen such an item before!! 🙂

        1. I think that’s why women were always having fainting spells, getting “woozy” 😉 Actually, some men–particularly vain actors–wore corsets, though they were smaller than my grandma’s el-huge-o one! 🙂
