The Lavender Fields

Three Line Tales 235

The lavender went on everlastingly…

And the sun carried its redolence a million miles or more…

These intoxicating fields were where we lived a life of loving, and disappeared together…missing to the world, but not to each other, nor to God whose glory filled our every breath.

  1. This is so beautifully written Rhen. I love every line but the last stanza is especially poignant and such a blessing. Thanks my friend for this gorgeous reminder of God’s love. Hugs, love and blessings coming your way. Love 💕 Joni 🤗❤️💕💖

      1. My pleasure. Yes, your poem was exquisite Rhen, truly beautiful sis. I love lavender it is one of my favorite natural scents plus it is so beautiful growing. I loved your photograph. We went to San Juan island and visited a lavender farm which was amazingly gorgeous. There was of course a store with all kinds of things to buy, very expensive so I didn’t get much but it was just so beautiful to see the fields in bloom. Sometimes I miss living in the Seattle area as we did lots of fun things often but we both started suffering from (SAD) seasonal affective disorder. There was a record while we lived there and it actually rain for 90 straight days. It was mostly drizzle but enough that I got pretty depressed. Have a wonderful weekend my dear sis. Love and prayers coming your way too, always. ❤️💕🤗😘Joni

        1. Lavender is lovely–soaps, candles, or the fragile dried springs. 90 days of rain, oh my goodness. I’m not affected by SAD, oddly enough–it’s harder on me when the temps get so HOT. 🙂 ❤

          1. I am glad you are not affected by SAD. That is a blessing. It gets extremely hot here Rhen. When we get up the windows in the house are already completely fogged over. It will be in the 90’s but it will day feels like a 105 or so with humidity. Seattle is getting hotter and hotter as I hear about all the hot weather from my daughter. The older I get the harder the heat is on me as well. I can’t do anything but a short walk when it gets to 87. Nice visiting. Love, hugs and prayers. Joni 💕❤️🤗🤗🙏
