Riches of Love

It was such a long hot-thirsty climb, and this was about the tenth site (if either were counting they didn’t say a number aloud).

“This time I’m surethis is the one—you need a break, dear?” he asked, looking over his shoulder at her.

She smiled, gestured for him to keep going; he only wanted to see the ruins his ancestors claimed, wasn’t asking for the world—life’s short, and what is love worth if it can’t afford a dream for the one who owns your heart?

Let the meeting come to order:  Contrary to what you may have heard on social media, there is no reason for panic.

He loved her for that, and had saved up for something special to celebrate their 40th anniversary… “how about Hawaii?” he offered.

“How about Ireland,” she countered, grinning… “maybe we’ll run into those Celtic Thunder guys”.
