Counting Sheep

Wish I had a photo of the scene from my east window…you’ll have to use your imagination ~🐑

Crossing late day’s sky

Large herd of small white creatures

Maybe sheep species…

Clouds huddled, flock formation

Eyes closed, already asleep

Weighted Heart

Prompt: photo and Words:  “It is a puzzle. How can life go on its stupid course on such a day?” – Tortilla Flat, John Steinbeck.

Weighted heart stumbles in my shoes, my brain has blown a fuse—it is a puzzle. How can life go on its stupid course on such a day?  Bruised black-violet clouds tussle in hard sky without loosing rain’s grace of Heaven.  Please, God.  While everyone weeps, angry thunder rumbles threats nearby.

Pale Flaming Clouds

Soul! Pale flaming clouds

Surely entrance to Heaven

Let’s be off at once…

Do you not see God’s glory

Shed Earth’s filthy tethers please

My World, Teal Bottle

Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge- April 28, 2020

Today’s prompt: “My world”. Use any way you are inspried

My world is long-scrawled

Letter in teal bottle tossed

Upon turquoise sea

Sapphire, when purple clouds bleed

Bobbing toward beaches here, there

~

Hoping for weathered

Sailor, mermaid mother svelte

Someone who’ll read with

Holy insight, tenor calm

Wisdom, nautilus shell deep

~

Orphan with kelp hair

Lying on gilt-glittered sand

Dreaming in shallows

When tide goes out final time

I’ll seal my ponders within

Look UP!

My dear sister-friend, Deb, sent me this photo from Illinois—so cheery!!

Blue sky, popcorn clouds

Spring day dressed in bright-hued hope

Calls us to Look UP!
