Elton, and The Muse

Last night I watched a movie I hadn’t seen in years, a delightful comedy…it’s so good I may order the DVD.  “The Muse” (1999), stars Albert Brooks and Sharon Stone (the Muse), Jeff Bridges, Andie MacDowell.  I won’t spoil the ending…it’s a hilarious surprise.

The movie is great entertainment, with a bonus:  Elton John composed and performed the film score.  I’m a huge Elton fan—years ago I attended his concert in Seattle and remarkably, he sang and played for two solid hours, no break.  It was a fabulous experience.

So, my mid-week treat for you is Elton, singing “The Muse”.  Hope you enjoy!!  Rhen 😊

What Problem?

“There’s no problem that can’t be ignored if we really put our minds to it.”

~ from the movie, “King Ralph”

Entertaining as the movie, “King Ralph”, is (and the amusing line from it)—the world is a tragic mess wherever we look because problems are routinely ignored.  Denial is not a solution.  We need courage to face trouble head-on, and humbled prayer to Almighty God for His wisdom and guidance—He’s the One who has real answers for every difficulty confronting us.  Let’s pray.
