Sunday Songs ~ Always There

Just one song for you but it’s a beauty, from Celtic Thunder.

Take good care of yourselves this week, and remember you’re always in my heart and prayers.

May the One True God open the Heaven’s and pour out a bounteous blessing on all of you…He’s ‘always there’ beside you.

Until I return…love, Rhen

Sunday Songs ~ We’re Never Alone

A great song from Hillsong, “Another In The Fire”, tells us that whether we’re in the fire or the flood—whatever our trying circumstances, and how alone we feel—God is right there with us, and He’ll bring us through.

May you experience the comfort of His loving Presence, and be abundantly blessed this weekRhen

Daily Light #85 ~ Prayer for God’s Mercy

Psalm 123:1-4

I lift my eyes to you,

O God, enthroned in heaven.

We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy,

just as servants keep their eyes on their master,

as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.

Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy,

for we have had our fill of contempt.

We have had more than our fill of the scoffing of the proud

and the contempt of the arrogant.

Daily Light #84 ~ God Pours Out His Spirit

Acts 2:17-21

Peter Preaches to the Crowd

“What you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel:

‘In the last days,’ God says,

‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy.

Your young men will see visions,

and your old men will dream dreams.

In those days I will pour out my Spirit

even on my servants—men and women alike—

and they will prophesy.

And I will cause wonders in the heavens above

and signs on the earth below—

blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

The sun will become dark,

and the moon will turn blood red

before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives.

But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD

will be saved.’

Called to Allegiance

Lacking distinction

Still I’m called to allegiance

By Sovereign Lord God

What honor He accords me

Is worth more than World’s fool’s gold

Eternal treasure

Is what heart’s holding out for

Desired more than life

Wish I could describe, explain…

It strikes as revelation

Forgotten Prayers

Not lost, discarded

God records ‘forgotten prayers’

Buried bitter-deep

By weary disappointed

Heart…dry bones await stirring*

*“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” Ezekiel 37:1-6, King James Bible

Daily Light #32 ~ Give Thanks and Flourish

“It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.  It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening…” Psalms 92:1-2, New Living Translation

“…The godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like cedars of Lebanon.  For they are transplanted to the LORD’S own house.  They flourish in the courts of our God.  Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.  They will declare, ‘The LORD is just!  He is my rock!'” Psalm 92:12-15, NLT

Daily Light #29 ~ Future Good

“Everything I prophesied has come true, and now I will prophesy again. I will tell you the future before it happens.”” Isaiah 42:9, New Living Translation

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19, NLT

“He made streams pour from the rock, making the waters flow down like a river!” Psalm 78:16, NLT

“Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses.” Isaiah 35:1, NLT

“The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland.” Isaiah 35:6, NLT

“They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the LORD in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside cool waters.” Isaiah 49:10, NLT

Poems for Warriors

I feel like this song is very apropos based on all that we are facing in the world today. Yesterday in church our pastor talked about intercessional worship. Most church people know about intercessional prayers, or praying on someone else behalf when they cannot pray or don’t know what to do, and intercessional worship is similar: praising God by song on someone else’s behalf.

We sang this song, an exceptional example of intercessional worship, praising God for breakthrough on the earth.

Lyrics of “We Praise You”

Verse 1:
Let praise be a weapon
That silences the enemy
Let praise be a weapon
That conquers all anxiety
Let it rise, let praise arise
We sing Your name in the dark
And it changes everything
We sing with all we are
And we claim Your victory
Let it rise, let praise arise

We’ll see You break down every wall
We’ll watch the giants fall

The Real Deal (and Sunday Song)

The world has dangled much before my heart’s eye.  I had designer tags on clothes and perfumes, plenty of bling; I was sought after, a “somebody”—albeit in small circles.  None of it satisfied the deep and mysterious longing.  Nothing we purchase and consume is meant to last; all that we collect and achieve will be ashes.

God, the Creator of all life, is Eternal.  He made the ultimate sacrifice on Calvary’s cross so that I can live with Him now and throughout Eternity.  That’s His everlasting promise which will never tarnish…He’s the real deal for me.

His Word is the manna sustaining me, His love is beyond my understanding and measure.  He’s the anchor which tethers me, His strength carries me through each day.  His character includes every aspect of a loving Father, powerful Savior, intimate Friend, Defender, Protector, Provider, and trusted Lord.  He brings me joy, and daily mercies.

He’s better than anything this temporal world offers me.  I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is GOOD.

May He bless you Abundantly.  Here’s a Sunday song♥Rhen

“For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.  Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!  Fear the LORD, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.  Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.” Psalm 34:7-10, New Living Translation

“The heart of the Christian faith:  God sees a princess in every scrub-girl, a freeman in every slave, a son in every stranger.”
