A Day of Transformation

I guess there’s nothing like a worldwide crisis to inspire creativity…I’ve used the gogyohka form, as well as “found poetry” for this piece.  Book titles and authors are listed following the poem ~

Britt-Marie was here

Living in Blood Hollow, she was changed too

That day a man called Ove smiled…

He experienced ordinary grace

And surrendered the rules of dreaming

Shamrocks (Gogyohka) and Celtic Thunder

This gogyohka is for Janet’s “green” theme (https://endless-rivers.com/2020/03/15/rhapsody-in-black-and-white/)…Click the link for her great posts, and to join in!  (I don’t even care if you skip my poem and just enjoy the Celtic Thunder songs♥♥♥)

Emeralds dripped from her dainty ears

Matched the eyes, snapping sparks, of this Galway girl

She pined for the Englishman who stole her heart away

Sure the handful of shamrocks promised his return…

For, if he’d wooed another, he’d see jealous flames for miles

And here’s another version…oh, be still my rockin’ heart!♥

Country Fair

Janet (at Endless Rivers), is one of my fave blog authors.  She likes to do themed series, and her new series theme is RED.  If you click her link above, you’ll get more info, including her invitation to everyone who wants to use red as a prompt.  I suspect I’ll do more than one “red” poem, but here’s what struck me immediately:

Red will stop traffic

Turn heads, in bright dress

Shouts hey! look at me!

Life of the party, dares to be loud

Till red pools mutely ’round the suddenly dead
