Peace Project, Gather Magic

Peace is heart-project

Lending itself to artists

Grief shards collectors

Fashion near-immortal works

From shimmer, shattered notions

Bits of magic shine

Like fresh fallen dewdrops ‘mid

These frangible days

Make no excuses, look ’round…

Gather each flicker, light Hope

Eugi’s Weekly Prompt “Magic” July 27, 2020

Beautiful Dreamer

Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge–June 9, 2020

Today’s prompt: Use “beautiful dreamer” in a piece of poetry or prose

Beautiful Dreamer’s

Spirit born in everyone

First heavenly gift

Received with babe’s gasping cry

May it be nurtured always

Not stomped and stifled

Stolen by those who covet…

Child, guard it in heart

Like bonfire to keep you warm

And light which directs next step:

Destiny’s true gleam

Yet to be fully seen, claimed…

Keep steady in prayer

No mere flights of fancy, dreams

But holy call, anointing

Written in ledger

By Creator-Father’s hand

Starry future planned

Page in epic history

Divine adventure designed

Daily Light #72 ~ Light For My Path

Psalm 119:103-105; 111-112, New Living Translation

How sweet your words taste to me;

they are sweeter than honey.

Your commandments give me understanding;

no wonder I hate every false way of life.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet

and a light for my path.

Your laws are my treasure;

they are my heart’s delight.

I am determined to keep your decrees

to the very end.

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”

Proverbs 16:9, NLT

Faith’s Sure Future (a ha’sonnet)

I’m linking to my poet friend, Stephen, Prince of the Ha’sonnet.  Initially, I was intimidated by the form, regardless that I was an English Major in college…but Stephen is both gifted poet and an encourager.  Thus, I’m beginning to enjoy writing these🙂  Click the link for all the info, directions…you may want to write one yourself.

Of shadows dim

Sore wilderness

‘Mid light so thin

Hope witnesses

Clear droplets-dew

Reflect vast hue

Faith’s sure future

Daily Light #44 ~ The Lord Dressed In Light

Let all that I am praise the LORD.

O LORD my God, how great you are!

You are robed with honor and majesty.

You are dressed in a robe of light.

You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;

you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.

You make the clouds your chariot;

you ride upon the wings of the wind.

The winds are your messengers;

flames of fire are your servants.

You placed the world on its foundation

so it would never be moved.

Daily Light #38 ~ The Word Is God

Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word

In the beginning the Word already existed.

The Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

He existed in the beginning with God.

God created everything through him,

and nothing was created except through him.

The Word gave life to everything that was created,

and his life brought light to everyone.

The light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness can never extinguish it.

John 1-5, New Living Translation

Verse 14 ~ “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”

Verse 16-18 ~ “From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.  For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.  No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.”

Sunday Songs ~ Hope Ahead!

Faithful God led me to the perfect song for everyone whose hope needs a boost!!

From time to time, I tell people who are heavily burdened by circumstances—and short on faith and hope—that they’re welcome to “borrow” some of mine.  It may not be scriptural or doctrinally sound, but it’s offered as a compassionate gesture with substance.  When my faith & hope tank is full I’m more than glad to share, so step right up—the spigot is flowing strong!

If my chirpy optimism is wearing on you…you might still enjoy Danny’s song🙂

May God bless and protect you in the coming weekRhen

“And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.” 1 John 5:20, New Living Translation

“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” John 1:17, King James Bible

This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:11-12, Berean Study Bible

“Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:3-5, Berean Study Bible

Illumine (A to Z Challenge 2020)

“For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.” Psalm 18:28, New American Standard Bible

“When His lamp shone over my head, And by His light I walked through darkness…” Job 29:3, New American Standard Bible

Illumine my heart

Lord, shine your lamp in corners

I’ve shunned, left untouched

Be Light, not just on my path

But in all my inner rooms

Illumine Your Word

Lord, strike the match which kindles

Hearth fire in my soul

Burning with revelation

Of Your Truth, hidden treasures

Illumine faith-walk

Lord, my eyes are dimmed by years

Hold lantern close, high

You lead my journey to claim

Forever inheritance

“Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:24, New Living Translation

Daily Light #16 ~ Light

“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket.  Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.

“Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body.  When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.  But when it is unhealthy, your body is filled with darkness.  Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness.  If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11:33-36, New Living Translation

“The words of the wise bring healing.” Proverbs 12:18b, NLT
