Tasks of Rain and Drain

Ronovan Writes #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #293 Drain&Rain

Not sure this challenge allows for tanka form; if not, remove final 2 lines ~

Rain courses down drain

Carrying grief’s tears in swirl

Drowning secrets, lies

Whirlpool of unsolved mysteries

Born away as storm cloud pours

Embrace the Rain!

This is for Laura Denise…click the link to enjoy her post, “Happiness Is” (and all of her lovely photography and poetry)!  She was dubious when I told her I had a T-shirt with “Embrace the Rain” printed on it. 🙂 😉 https://lauradenise.home.blog/2020/01/25/happiness-is/

Webcam photo, less than stellar, of what is actually a brilliant blue T-shirt bought at a thrift shop for a couple dollars because of the phrase, “Embrace the Rain”.

Many people in other parts of the USA think the Seattle, WA area is “all about rain”, and tease that we must have webbed feet.  In truth, we have plenty of sunny days!  I’ve lived here since 1967 and, other than when I have to do errands with an umbrella, I do love the rain…it’s poet’s manna 🙂
